AFS is one of the world’s largest non-profit, volunteer-based organisation which offers international exchange programmes in more than 50 countries through local AFS organisations. The Sending Programme Coordinator is responsible for effective sending program planning and high quality delivery of the support services related to all AFS ISA sending programs that will enable long-term growth as a significant and prestigious member of the AFS network.
Business Development and Coordination of the Business Unit (18+) - the recruitment and sending placement process within the external and volunteer network and in cooperation with the partner offices that meets or exceeds all related AFS program standards. Lead and managed the process of AFS ISA’s overall 18+ Programm planning of the AFS participation matrix through effective, planning with staff and volunteers, ensuring all relevant deadlines and standards were met;
Strategy Implementation - Implement and monitor all scholarship programs, corporate and others, established with and by the National Partner Director for recruiting purposes in South Africa.
Team Leadership/ Management - Effectively direct, support, and monitor the volunteers and the volunteer infra-structure which the sending aspect of the exchange program was dependent; fostering a sense of ownership and accountability within the local volunteer groups, encouraging growth, and healthy teamwork with the National Office;
