Part-time Crisis Case Manager

COMCARE of Sedgwick County

Crisis Case Managers work with individuals who are presenting with a psychiatric crisis on a short term basis. This position will function as part of a crisis intervention team providing emergency mental health care at Crisis Intervention Services. CCMs primarily will answer the mental health and suicide prevention hotline, and will also provide case management services, and mobile outreach services as needed to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis. CCMs work with individuals, as assigned, to see that community resources are expeditiously accessed to meet the overall need of the client.

A Case Manager provides case coordination and community based mental health services for Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children. A Case Manager acts as a liason between SED children's families and their schools, creates and maintains a plan of care, facilitates meetings with parents, client, and all community providers to discuss client's progress, makes collateral contacts with the child's parents and other mental health service providers, and meets face to face with each client weekly at home and/or school to work on coping skills to manage symptoms.
