Intern in the Public Relations department ● Throughout my internship I manage our involvement with NetGalley, an online e-galley distribution service. This includes liaising with users, authorizing/declining e-galley requests, gathering all digital files (PDF of book, cover and back-cover-copy) and putting them on the website, and inviting new reviewers to become a part of our e-galley community. ● I helped organize Harlequin's party at RWA (Romance Writer's of America) by being responsible for the guest list. ● I frequently research and propose new digital initiatives for public relations.

Intern in the higher education sales department. ● Provide research support for the Higher Education Sales Team. Duties include creating spreadsheets of instructor contact information and updating course schedules for the upcoming school year. Each day I send updates of these reports to my supervisor so that she can begin to make contact with these prospective customers. ● Organize Higher Education library by creating shelf labels and ensuring all materials are secured in their binders. ● Accompanied a Higher Education Sales Rep to campus for meetings and cold-calls with professors. Also listen to bi-weekly phone conferences.

●Provide customer service by locating and ordering books for customers.

●I have acquired excellent knowledge of the book market and I am familiar with current trends and

needs of readers.

●Monitored Boatracs, a GPS unit for marine fleets covering all coasts of North America. Supplied

●  Began as a hostess in a high-paced atmosphere. Duties included answering phone, greeting and seating customers, cleaning washrooms, running food, monitoring wait list, and aiding in cleaning tables.

●  Occasionally bussed tables, which required heavy lifting and fast turn over of tables.

●  Promoted to waitress.Duties included having numerous tables, taking orders by memory, properly ordering the food through computer, providing bill and dealing with cash, debit, and credit cards.

●  As a waitress it was also my duty to cash-out at the end of the night and ensure I have paid the restaurant what Iowe to them.
