Lindsay Guion is a creative executive at Sony Music Entertainment affiliate Black Pepper Music, LLC in New York, New York. He works with Grammy award winning artists, songwriters, and music producers. At the same time, Guion is also attending Harvard University, attempting to earn his post-graduate degree. He is studying corporate entrepreneurship, and is hoping to expand his knowledge on current trends and technology. Mr. Guion believes that it is important to stay on top of technological advances in order to remain an expert in one’s field. He has said, “I think it is important that we re-train ourselves because of the new technologies relevant to entertainment, media, technology and telecommunications. I decided to return to school so to sharpen my leadership, entrepreneurial and negotiating skill sets.” At Harvard, Lindsay has also been a part of such organizations and clubs as Harvard Pre-Law Society, Law and Philosophy Society, Beckman Center at Harvard Law School, and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. He is also the author of the recently published essay, “Work Environment.” Though he began his career at IBM, Mr. Guion has always been interested in entertainment and law. He is a member of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association. He first got his start in law when he was offered a position as special consultant and music liaison at the Entertainment and Media Law Firm of Blanc, Williams, Johnston, and Kronstadt, LLP (Arnold & Porter, LLP). There he was able to polish and hone his skills in leadership and business. As a young executive at A&M Records, Guion later founded the R&B singing sensation Badd Boyz of the Industry - a group of five gentlemen who, among other accomplishments, performed a song in the 1993 movie, Posse. Today, Mr. Guion is also principle of the entertainment management firm Guion Partners, Ltd. In his spare time, Lindsay likes to practice martial arts and travel to various places around the world.
