Participated in a four week foreign correspondence course in China as part of a 15 student group from the University of Texas at Austin. Traveled from Beijing to Xi'an to Shanghai, exploring what is really going on in one of the world's quickest growing countries and reporting on it from a grassroots level, linking the people we meet and local events to the bigger picture.

Created a social media plan to launch Reporting Texas in the University of Texas and Austin communities. Main tools used are Facebook and Twitter, and the plan was launched in two phases. First phase targeted UT Journalism students to garner student submissions, and phase two focuses on spreading awareness throughout the larger community.
