Teaching is passion, patience, excitement and above all it is about empathy.

As a high school art teacher, I have found that you have to capture their hearts before you can capture their minds. I strive to provide a rich and meaningful educational experience for all of my students by offering opportunities above and beyond the everyday classroom.

I am a co-sponsor for the National Art Honor Society, an academic and service society. We have over 100 students enrolled and have won over $4000 for our students through art contests, scholarships and auctions.

I had the privileged to be be the UIL Academic Spelling coach for our high school team.
