I took a class in animal control, a course designed to prepare to work in animal care and control programs in municipalities and other government agencies. We had two projects in class: one was to design an animal shelter and to give descriptions of the facility, the other was to write up two different SOP's (standard operating procedures). We had to put care and thought into the animal shelter design, thinking about the size of the shelter, what animals will be housed there, the placement of rooms, functionality.. I had undergone many revisions of my design! For the SOP's I based the protocols from my shelter design.

For my Intro to Vet Tech class, I had to pick a species of animal and present it to the class. I chose the narwhal for it's uniqueness. I myself wanted to learn more about it, and also share my research to the class. It was a fun project, and I enjoyed working on it. Below is my research paper, a handout I created to pass out for the class, and my Power Point presentation.
