High Performance Rodeo - Calgary's International Festival of the Arts

The High Performance Rodeo, Calgary's International Festival of the Arts, is the largest festival of its kind in Western Canada, featuring theatre, music, comedy, dance, film, visual art and more.   • Develop the strategic and business plans for future growth;
  • Lead negotiations for all production related agreements and administrate contracts;
  • Act as main liaison with all granting bodies (governmental and non-governmental), write, submit and administrate grants.

Event Contractor

Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra

Negotiated multiple performance agreements for the 2010 - 2011 season, securing guest artists and key orchestra personnel for this versatile live music ensemble.  Responsible for all travel logistics for visiting guest artists appearing with the orchestra.

  • Negotiated contract for the live performance of "The Wizard of Oz", dealing with complex performance rights management and procurement, securing rights to perform music and screen movie.
  • Contributed to artistic budget plan development.  Performed comparative market research to provide senior management with benchmarks prior to collective bargaining negotiations.

Event Specialist

Zev Eizik Productions

Sourced, negotiated terms and secured a variety of live entertainment for the largest event company in Israel.Played an integral role in sales and business development, marketing, customer relations, event and production management.Participated in the negotiation of performance agreements, and managed contractual and logistical needs of artists.Led the customer relations team, concessions and box office operations, including hiring and training of up to 150 staff members for large events.Coordinated required services for events, securing commercial sponsorships and creating unique sponsorship packages and opportunities for brand exposure to meet or exceed event revenue.

  • Event Manager and Production Team Lead for over 350 events of various sizes including many events supporting over 50,0000 attendees. Experience with special productions in logistically challenging environments (open air concerts in Jerusalem’s historic Sultan’s Pool, the Roman Amphitheatre in Caesarea and Tel Aviv’s White City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
  • Headed local marketing efforts for some of the world’s most complicated live event productions, including:  U2, Elton John, Madonna, Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, The Joffrey Ballet, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Pet Shop Boys, Tom Jones, Julio Iglesias, Megadeth, John Cale, Simply Red and many others (complete list available upon request)
  • Negotiated multiple $1 million + commercial sponsorship and partnership agreements with top‐tier corporate sponsors including; Samsung Israel, spirit and beverage brands such as Smirnoff, banks and media.
  • Secured travel and accommodation needs for extremely large touring groups, seamlessly accommodating travel needs of up to 120 people.
  • Led third sector event production for local charities and non‐profits such as the annual fundraising gala for Make‐A‐Wish (Israel) foundation.
  • Developed and led the Premium Services team. Managed and trained concierge staff for all premium events at the facility.Created an unmatched VIP environment for premium ticket holders and special guests.
  • Created highly effective event marketing campaigns utilizing print, media, social media and the internet.Developed a variety of productive campaigns such as such as credit card point redemption offers, ticket upgrade contests and event discount coupons.
