For the past 12 years, Leslie Cloyd has advised businesses and individuals in bankruptcy, business reorganization, securities litigation, and complex restructuring from Berger Singerman LLP in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Focused on Chapter 11 cases, Cloyd represents debtors in bankruptcy proceedings and aids distressed entities in obtaining court workouts and assignments. Additionally, she includes lenders, creditors’ committees, unsecured creditors, trustees, and tax collectors as her clients. When ITG Vegas, Incorporated and Lancer Partners, LP, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Cloyd acted as Creditors’ Committees counsel. Additionally, she offered guidance to Florida Power & Light during Gator Generating Corporation's bankruptcy and to the Florida counties of St. Lucie, Glades, and Hendry. Before commencing her career, Leslie Cloyd attended Broward Community College. The recipient of an Associate degree in Psychology, she played on the varsity tennis team. Subsequently, Cloyd played varsity tennis while enrolled at Flagler College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration summa cum laude. After completing her undergraduate studies, she matriculated at Stetson University College of Law. Finishing fourth in her class, Leslie Cloyd won several American Jurisprudence Awards and contributed to the Stetson Law Review. During her spare time, Leslie Cloyd enjoys tennis, skiing, and hiking. She is also actively involved in charity and donates to Calvary Chapel.
