A large part of my career has been with smaller organizations that did not have large staff resources or a significant spectrum of professional accreditation; i.e. many companies did not have an IT department so I stepped up. My cross section skills would make me a modern version of a "Comptroller" having a strong intersection of Accounting and IT skills.
My positions have always had a defined job description but I have often been called upon to carry out special projects that did not fit anywhere else in the organization. This has resulted in my incredible diversity of learning and acquired skills which has been one of the most satisfying components of my career.
