It is with great interest that I am applying for the position of Curriculum Innovation Specialist.  I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and 10 years teaching experience; additionally, I am certified in Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum and Math 6-12.  Since joining FLVS in October 2005, I have had the honor of being both an Adjunct Substitute and Full-time MJ Math 2 Instructor.

I am very passionate about our students and their success.  My experience has allowed me to see the many perspectives of a virtual classroom, enabling me to expand the current curriculum with innovative enhancements. I hold weekly Web 2.0 sessions and invite both students and teachers in order to increase student engagement and achievement.  Currently my class is piloting the implementation of social networks to promote a sense of community amongst virtual school students. Through my training as an ETLO facilitator and delivery of Schoolhouse wide sessions I am working with content area teachers to utilize Web 2.0 technologies within their classrooms.
