My name is Kunkyong Lee, often referred to as Koko, and I am a freshman in DePauw University. I am originally from South Korea but I have been living in Kenya and Uganda for last 8 years. My parents are missionaries in Uganda, and I went to a boarding school in Kenya for my junior-high and high school. The experiences I gained from living in Africa are so precious and unique. If you are ever interested, I would love to tell you all about it.
I plan on majoring in Psychology and Writing. I have not yet decided on which occupation I am pursuing, but I am very interested in the areas of media, photography, journalism, psychology, and such. I am also open to any other enriching experiences.
Travel is my passion. So far, I have visited about 14 different countries so far including South Africa, Australia, Italy, England, Vietnam, China, and Japan. Different people, culture, and language fascinate me and I wish to continue to pursue my passion.
ITAP is a highly selective on-campus internship program at DePauw providing a singular experience that blends a traditional liberal arts education with cutting-edge experiential learning in an academic environment. In addition to technological skills, ITAP internships enable the building of skills that are part of a liberal arts education, such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem solving, and communication skills among others.
I work as a Photography Assistant at the Publication Office of the Communication Office of DePauw University. My works can be viewed on DePauw website under News & Media, University Photo Gallery.
I worked as a private tutor for English in Korea during my gap year after high school.
