Senior leadership staff member of an established  MRO provider for Auxiliary Power Units. Leading aircraft  spare parts Trading and Distribution business, developing key supplier/ partner relationships and managingstrategic business re-alignment projects.  

  • Continued leading Trading and Distribution business for APUs Line Replaceable Units and components.
  • Leading negotiations with strategic suppliers and partners to improve relationships and meet key business objectives for both parties.

Triumph Logistics (01/2001 - 3/2009)                                        President / General Manager

Established,  led and managed aircraft  spare parts Trading and Distribution business with P&L accountability and facilities in the United States and United Kingdom.

  • Built and managed team of 40, including international staff in the UK and Australia; increased revenue 4x in seven years.
  • Consistently achieved profitability goals, seven consecutive years since division was founded in 2001.
  • Reduced pool of excess inventory from other divisions from $17M to $4M over a five year period through sales and management of obsolescence.
  • Grew international business 5x through establishing and managing a European division (Triumph Logistics-UK, Ltd.) and a distribution channel in Asia through a Triumph MRO facility in Thailand.
  • Established Triumph as a leader in the Auxiliary Power Unit leasing and spare parts market; successfully negotiated acquisition of assets to fuel growth; increased asset pool and revenue by 3x.
  • Developed and implemented an integrated supply chain model for inventory pooling and to provide repair management, surplus material sourcing and full Supply Chain support of start-up MRO facility in Thailand; estimated 25%+ inventory avoidance for new facility.

Hardware Product Group (11/1999-1/2001)                                                  Product Line Manager

Established and led the marketing and management of the Seal and Electrical product lines.

  • Successfully led cross-functional negotiation team in executing a multi-million dollar licensing agreement with a distribution partner under extremely challenging time constraints meeting financial and schedule goals.
  • Created a formal product line strategy and marketing materials for the Seals & Electrical product lines.

Engines- Commercial Propulsion Enterprise (1/1998-11/1999)                          Demand Specialist

Identified as key team member to implement new demand management function to support the SIOP process.

  • Conducted demand planning and SIOP processes to ensure validation and balancing of aggregate demand, reduction/reschedule of past due orders and lead-time reduction for critical parts.
  • Led Greenbelt team to develop and document demand management processes for business unit and achieved Greenbelt certification.

Engines - Commercial APU Enterprise (1/1996-1/1998)                                                 Program Manager

Program Manager for the GTCP131-9A Auxiliary Power Unit on the A320 Family aircraft, responsible for total program profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Negotiated introduction of GTCP131-9A APU with Daimler-Benz Aerospace and Airbus Industries to successfully recapture significant market share.
  • Championed cross-functional team in product development and introduction; 24 month development program completed on schedule and under budget.
  • Developed marketing plan and pricing strategies for new product introduction with airlines to secure market acceptance.
  • Negotiated international partnership agreements for component parts, achieving goals of development cost share and 20 % manufacturing cost reduction.

Engines - Commercial APU Enterprise, (9/1993-1/1996)                                               Business Manager

Business Manager for several  Auxiliary Power Units on Airbus Industries aircraft, and was accountable for all contractual, customer and business aspects of APU's for commercial transport aircraft.

  • Managed product pricing, production schedule coordination, resolving customer satisfaction issues and product management through multi-disciplined teams.
  • Led cross-function team of customer and AlliedSignal members to improve and streamline processes for product assembly, delivery, receipt and installation by a key international customer. Received the Quest for Excellence 'Customer' Award.

Engines - Finance Department (6/1986-9/1993)                                                             Senior Accountant

Financial planning & analysis professional responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance and program  P&L analysis. Served as the senior accountant for Government Compliance and Financial Reporting departments.
