Teaching Assistant

Pepperdine University
  • Assisted professors with reviewing graduate term papers to provide feedback for graduate students
  • Coordinated and planned a Washington DC conference for 30 graduate students to provide them with an opportunity to learn about public policy

Adjunct Instructor

Indiana University
  • Served as adjunct instructor for freshmen communications, writing and remedial composition courses
  • Developed curriculum for a one credit course focused on student leadership and service learning
  • Facilitated development of students’ writing/composition and public speaking skills
  • Assisted department with developing relationship with alumni to connect students with leaders in community

Young Leadership Coordinator

Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society
  • Developed leadership training for young professionals who were former refugees living in the Los Angeles area
  • Created tutoring program for seniors preparing to take their citizenship exam also recruited and trained tutors
  • Coordinated an annual west coast scholarship program for refugees pursuing higher education in the U.S
  • Assisted with developing membership programs to increase individual donor base
