Lea France is a Fannie Mae Sales Representative who manages and sells properties through Fannie Mae's program. Ms. France, who has worked for Fannie Mae for the past six years, earned her real estate license in 1994 and has held memberships in local, state, and national professional associations such as the Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS®, the California Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®. Ms. France has worked with brokers and home buyers across the United States, including in Oregon, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Alaska, and Michigan. Lea France, took all of her required courses in real estate through the University of California, Los Angeles. In her class work and in further certificate courses through UCLA’s extension program, she concentrated on law of contracts, commercial real estate leasing, the legal details of land transactions, investment and appraisal, consumer protection and ethics, and management of fair housing regulations. Ms. France has used her extensive background in the theory and practice of real estate to become one of the leading achievers in her unit, earning the status of top performer for the year 2009. She has sold and closed more than 1,000 properties annually. At the start of her career, Lea France worked at John Hancock Real Estate in Los Angeles. She arrived at her current position in 2006 from the real estate division of Washington Mutual, Inc. (now part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.). She has previous experience in federal loan assistance programs through her work at Freddie Mac.
