ITAP Associate - Arts Publicity and Marketing Student Coordinator

As the Arts Publicity ITAP Associate I have a number of responsibilities that promote the arts at DePauw University. I'm in charge of the Display Case promoting theater events, maintaing the DePauw Arts Facebook page, writing press releases, and designing programs for DePauw art events in InDesign.

Publicity Volunteer

In January 2012, I completed publicity work for DePauw’s theatre production of Mysteries . . . and Smaller Pieces. Various tasks included writing two press releases for Greencastle’s local newspaper, gathering information about the director and cast, and creating a program on Word for a preview performance.

Box Office Clerk

The Lerner Theatre

In the summer of 2013 I was employed by The Lerner to work in the Box Office. I sold tickets, answered phone calls and assisted in daily office work (e.g. filing, faxing, etc.).

As an intern with The Lerner I was in charge of the marketing for Stringfever's performance in February 2013. I wrote press releases and social media posts covering the event.

ITAP Apprentice

DePauw University

The Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP) is an internship program at DePauw that allows students to learn technological skills in a liberal arts setting. Students also gain critical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem solving, and communication skills. 

As an ITAP Apprentice I gained business and technology skills for use in the real world. Skills I acquired include the basics of film (script writing, filming techniques, and editing a final product) and web design skills with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Dreamweaver.

Adobe InDesign

As an Arts Publicity and Marketing Student Coordinator I frequently use Adobe InDesign to create programs and fliers.

Adobe Photoshop

I  started using Photoshop during middle school to create graphics as a hobby. Over the years, I have applied my skills to various school projects.

Microsoft Office

I have used Microsoft Office for various assignments and projects for my education. In particular, I know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
