Completes initial assessment for safety on children after receiving an intake report of abuse, neglect or family in need of assessment.  Interviews victim, alleged perpetrator, family members and community partners.  Investigates allegations of abuse and neglect, and makes a finding.  Files CINC petitions as needed to ensure child safety.  Provides families with community resources to meet needs.

Supervise felony offenders while on bond.  Ensure clients are following court orders.  Collaborates with treatment providers in the community.   Utilizes motivational interviewing techniques to illicit changes in behaviors.  Monitors clients while on Electronic Monitoring(GPS).  Leads and facilitates new client orientation classes.  Conducts drug and alcohol testing. Provides clients with community resources. Address violations with assigned judge.  Complete detailed documentation, including warrant affidavits. Assist law enforcement with executing arrest warrants.  Coordinates gang and curfew checks through local law enforcement agencies.  Conducts residence checks and field visits.  Provides progress reports to the courts, and testifies in court as needed.

Initial screening of clients to determine appropriateness for services, utilize multi-line phone system in a call center setting, met with clients to complete intake paperwork, complete financials with clients, provide clients with community resources to help meet their needs. Interim KDOC Liaison job duties included: complete interviews with KDOC inmates and coordinate with release planners.  Compile all criminal and medical records from the facility and prepare for client's initial mental health appointment. Compile statistics monthly using Excel.

Engage with severely and persistantly mentally ill consumers and support at discharge from psychiatric hospitalization or release from jail.  Work as a part of the Sedgwick County Offender Assessment Program. Transition clients back into the community with adequate supports and services in place, assess client's mental health symptoms and work on developing coping skills to help them learn to better manage their symptoms.  Teach and develop independent living skills.  Guide and monitor clients during appointments in the community. Collaborate with clients treatment team.
