Journalist, News Anchor

SIC Notícias

As a senior journalist, I was involved from the beginning in SIC Noticias, a pioneer national 24 hour news TV channel spoken in portuguese which is broadcasted in Europe, Brazil, USA and Angola. Sic Notícias is the leading cable news channel since the first year to present day.

At SIC, I was a TV news anchorman for more than 8 years and was responsible for coordinating and leading the teams producing the information content for the different daily news blocks. I was the host of the late night news block and was also the host of a public opinion television program and a football analysis program. As a reporter, I was involved in the coverage of several main events, including the European Football Championship of 2004 and the Rally of Portugal of 2001, and has written and edit hundreds of stories.

In Sic Noticias, I was used to work under a considerable amount of stress, because he needed to coordinate his team of journalists and producers while he was on air. I have developed a considerable experience in working in live broadcast which requires a strong ability to improvise.

Sic Noticias was launched in 2001 and is the first 24 hours news portuguese channel. It has lead, since the first year, portuguese cable audiences and it is recognized as one of the most credible and reliable information source in Portugal.
