Board certified in medical oncology, Dr. Lauretta Odogwu treats patients in the Cone Health network in Greensboro, North Carolina. Previously, Dr. Odogwu spent two years as a Faculty Hematologist and Oncologist at Duke University Medical Center and four years as a Fellow at Georgetown University Medical Center. During her time at these medical institutions, Dr. Lauretta Odogwu honed her expertise in hematology and oncology, carried out research projects in developmental therapeutics, and published several book chapters and medical articles. Formerly a resident of the United Kingdom, Lauretta Odogwu, MD, moved to the United States in 1996, spending three years as a Resident and then Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh. Previously, Dr. Odogwu served as a Senior House Physician at St George's & Charing Cross Hospitals in London, where she worked in ophthalmology, neurology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine. Over the course of her career, Dr. Lauretta Odogwu has won numerous awards, including a Critical Care Award as the Resident of the Year in addition to recognition for her research and presentation on Trousseau's syndrome. Furthermore, Dr. Odogwu holds membership in the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom. In her leisure time, Dr. Lauretta Odogwu, stays active by doing aerobics, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors. She enjoys reading, attending the theater, and traveling as often as possible.
