I have spent the past school year getting acquainted with the SmartBoard, SmartBoard ink, and SmartBoard notebook. Although I could continue to learn more about the SmartBoard and how to utilize it in classrooms, I am already very familiar with the basics.
I have been taught the ins and outs of using Microsoft Office. I have utilized office in a multitude of ways during my teaching experience and am very competent.

I am very familiar with the Adobe Design Suite. I have spent a lot of time working with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Spent a year in an inner city, diverse school where 89% of students were on free or reduced lunch. 48% of students were Hispanic, 24% African American, 26% White, and 1% Asian/ Island Pacific
Planned and executed a full school years worth of curriculum for a ninth grade world history class
Differentiated lessons, assessments, and assignments in order to accommodate for all learning types and skill levels
Co-taught a main streamed special education class
Implemented the use of technology in every lesson and became well versed in the use of a Smartboard, classroom audio and video technology, and tablets
Emphasized globalization by coordinating pen pals from Japan for my students
Collaborated with the social studies department once a month on working to raise student’s reading levels
Ran an intervention program where students came for extra help in order to boost their grade. I decreased my failure rate from 30 students at mid semester to nine by the end of the semester through the intervention program.
Participatedin professional development that focused on ACT prep, cross department projects, common core, and differentiated teaching
Helped run an after school intramural soccer program that helped many of our Hispanic students stay connected with the school community

I am a very strong believer in getting kids up and moving, and allowing them to interact with the material. Above is a lesson plan where student's traced the paths of different explorers by going from "country to country" and reading primary source articles. They also had a sheet of questions to fill out as the traveled "the world".
