Currently, I am working in freelance writing, marketing and events. A graduate from the IU School of Journalism, I have experience working in public relations and marketing in corporate, agency and nonprofit environments. I am also studying part-time to earn a Master's in Sports Management from Drexel University. Ultimately, I would like to work in marketing, events or community relations in the sports field.

Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Coordinator

In a six-month temporary position, I worked with Ernst & Young's marketing & events manager to plan and promote the 2007 Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards for Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania & West Virginia. My responsibilities included selecting vendors for events, writing press releases, letters and company profiles, and maintaining database records to track applications and attendees. I communicated with sponsors, judges and nominees on a daily basis to answer questions about the program.

I also proofread projects prior to releasing to clients and printers.
