Analyst/Developer at GTD, Ingeniería de sistemas y de software, S.A, (afterwards GTD Sistemas de Información) designing, developing and documenting different J2EE and J2SE projects within a distributed environment. I had a Developer role at a Defence Department project called MyC, however, my following projects has been as an Analyst/Developer for Knowledge Technologies Department, such as: EPMT, Intelmon / CESADS, KES and GMES, where reasoning techniques (fuzzy logic, for instance) and knowledge representation (ontologies) has been applied.
Analyst/Developer within GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) project which is a framework project which holds for: KEO, WIN, MARCOAST and STREAM. All of them are based on semantic web, use web services as platform and/or have spatial information as a domain.
Analyst/Developer within KES (Knowledge Enabled Services) project which is an application J2EE (Java Web Services, Java Portlets) developed to ESRIN (European Space Research INstitute) based on web services which offers production services and allows textual and spatial search. Production subsystem (Collaxa BPEL Server) processes the images sent by the satellites in order to populate a GIS database which is used for spatial search. This data is logged in a MySQL in order to be able to execute the textual search upon the products which are offered in KEO portal.
Analyst/Developer within Intelmon / CESADS (Intelligent monitoring / Centralised ESTRACK Status and Diagnostic System) project which is a client-server application developed to ESOC (European Space Operations Centre) and implemented in J2SE (RMI, JDBC and Fuzzy Jess) and Protégé which runs on MS SQL Server. This application allows to monitor the ESTRACK (European Space Tracking (Network)) and to diagnose errors on it using fuzzy logic, to obtain different kinds of reports, to modify the knowledge base (KB) of the chosen project and to stop/start/create/eliminate any project. Nowadays, the only running project of ESOC which use this application is EnviSat (Environmental Satellite).
Analyst/Developer within EPMT (Electric Ion Propulsion Monitoring Tool) project which is an application to ESOC, developed in J2SE (JDBC, Fuzzy Jess and JClass), Protégé and Matlab, which runs on MS SQL Server. EPMT allows to the operators the identification and diagnosis of errors in SMART-1 (Small Mission for Advanced Research in Technology – 1) satellite because, thanks to the use of fuzzy logic on the received data from the satellite (obtained by the Dynamic Data System of ESOC) and on others as Ace Space Weather released on Internet, it infers whether there are errors or not and how important they are. The operators can obtain graphic reports of the errors inferred and can modify easily the fuzzy logic inference processes of EPMT in order to refine the severity of the alarms generated by it.
