Laura Grom heads You Can Fly Life Coaching from her base in Guilford, Connecticut. She offers face-to-face and telephone consultations for families, women, children, and teens. As a Certified Life Coach, trained by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, Laura Grom is able to offer personal growth strategies to assist her clients in overcoming negative behavior patterns and coping with personal and social issues involving school, work, health, and relationships. Ms. Grom uses her fourteen years of experience in the Connecticut schools and her considerable knowledge of educational theory and practice to tailor her services to each individual’s or family’s needs. Laura Grom also serves her community as a motivational speaker and an advocate for women and youth. She has engaged audiences on subjects important to teens and has led groups dedicated to preventing bullying. Laura Grom participates in local organizations that assist lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals, as well as single mothers, and people facing homelessness. Ms. Grom is the parent of three children, as well as a legal advocate for children in the foster care system; she is herself an adoptive parent and foster caregiver.Laura Grom received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Western Connecticut State University. She also holds a Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Special Education, and is a member of the prestigious International Coach Federation. Ms. Grom is also a hospital volunteer who aids children with special needs and their families.
