Facilitate each student's Personal Learning Plan from the moment they enter the school. Work closely with each student and their parent/guardian to provide the student with an educational experience that is based on their individual needs and preferences. Each week in a face-to-face group meeting instruct a college readiness class, a reading strategy class, and a Project-Based Learning (individual research project) class. Every other week (or more frequently as needed) meet with each student for at least half an hour to look at their current progress in all of their classes, and provide any tutorial support he/she might need. That is followed up with a progress report that is emailed to both the student and the parent.
Work as a team with administration and other advisors to recruit students each year through several presentations and meetings. Create changes to curriculum and daily schedule to continually improve the environment of the school based on student, parent, and school board input.
