Thermo Scientific

As a contract writer and illustrator, my job was to capture, create and transfer knowledge from subject matter experts to targeted audiences. To generate sales proposals, which included corporate, U.S. government contract and other government agency contracts, I collaborated with C-level executives, sales managers and engineers. While each proposal introduced unique proposals to potential customer pain points, they presented a uniform corporate image that promoted the Thermo Scientific brand.

Anyone can assemble a technical document, whether it's an owner's manual, installation manual or online help system. As an MBA-educated and experienced writer, however, my documents and online systems delivered results. Instead of filling the reader's mind with instructions, it explained processes in simple task format. Filled with illustrations that complemented those processes, end users at any level could absorb the material and hit the ground running.

With my skills, Thermo Scientific rocketed to the 21st century as I retired the MS Word and server storage system and and introduced Framemaker, RoboHelp and a Document Management System.

As Manager of Communication, I built the CampusEAI  brand and promoted it, which led to a 200 percent increase in global recognition, according to a trade magazine report. I drove advertising and public relations campaigns, wrote all collateral and managed marketing projects.

By developing relationships between CEAI and government agencies, educational institutions and other communities, the organization expanded memberships and clients.

Generated new business partnerships and increased consortium membership using strategic communication plan. Created trade show displays and charted new marketing leads with unique presentations and proposals.

Microsoft Dynamics

I drove marketing campaigns for the United States Services, Tools and Training Division, which is now a part of the North American team. In addition to writing web content, online press releases and collateral, I tracked matrices to determine the results of marketing projects.

Using secondary and primary research, including partner focus groups, I helped the team discover and develop new markets. I tracked matrices to determine the results of all marketing projects.One marketing campaign resulted in a 160 percent increase in Tools sales.

When Microsoft Business Solutions transformed into Microsoft Dynamics, I updated all collateral with the new brand.
