Take part in special projects that are being offered to students and the surrounding communities. Tend to various office tasks such as filing, emailing, answering the phone, printing, scanning, faxing and helping clients.

Gained valuable experience and knowledge of rural economic development in Nova Scotia. Also had opportunities to proof funding and project proposals and sat on various committees.

Duties include: Managing office tasks and responibilities. Answering and directing phone calls to the proper person. Managed petty cash as well as managed the registration of parade entries. I also created several databases to organize information and contacts.

Event Planning

Managed the opening event for new college students. Approximately 650 attendees and 100 staff and volunteers. Had to manage and maintain a budget, booked a band for entertainment, contacted various community organizations and business for a community expo, placed food orders, decorated the building and managed volunteers. Currently planning a market for ACE (Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship) at the Nova Scotia Community College - Kingstec Campus. The market will be open for all students and staff to participate as vendors. The market will be promoted throughout the local community and will be classified as a Holiday Market. The goal of the market is to bring buyers and sellers together to create opportunity and benefit. This event will be held on November 27th at NSCC - Kingstec Campus.

Able to complete various office tasks and duties. Filing, database management, answering phones, printing, faxing, managing budgets and working with clients.
