Parkwood Heights is a senior living campus that provides high quality living for senior citizens. While working at Parkwood Heights, I was placed in a starting position working in the kitchen of their dining room. Specifically, I learned the importance of patience, hospitality, and customer service. When dealing with elderly individuals, it is difficult to communicate with them for several reasons. Whether disease or physical ccondition is a factor, numerous times i had to be able to keep composure and silence in order to help the residents. This position was extremely valuable and taught me several important aspects of time management. In order to get out dinners in a timely fashion, a waitress must prioritize her time and develop quicker ways to accomplish tasks.
