Planned and facilitated activities that led to language learning in a French immersion setting. Worked with children of ages 13-18 for 4 weeks at Swarthmore College. Evaluated a team of six Residential Assistants to highlight areas of growth and to give feedback. Worked directly with the upper leadership of the program to develop night and weekend programming for the residential summer camp for five weeks throughout the summer.

Conducted self-directed research in Second Language3 Acquisition and Psycholinguistics. Created and edited visual and auditory stimuli with SuperLab 4.0 Software, iMovie, and Audacity. Programmed and ran computerized experiments. Analyzed data and wrote up results for publication. Publication currently in review.

Long-Term Undergraduate Research Experience (LURE) Student Researcher

Researched game theorist John von Neumann through a mathematical historical perspective. Performed three 15-minute presentations on my research throughout the research period. Participated in the LURE conference and presented research to an audience of about 70. Presented work in a gathering of scientists at a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) talk.

Coordinated Groups Investigating God (GIGs) which created a forum for people of different faiths (Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, Hindus, and Christians) to discuss Christianity. Planned a weekly Bible study with co-leader. Created fun events for Sophomore women such as scavenger hunts and dinner parties. Planned several nights with speakers at a home of a woman in the neighboring community. Encouraged women to become engaged in mentoring relationships. Created connections between IVCF, International students, and LGBTQ students at UR.

Prepared activities for the afternoons such as sports, movies, outings, board games, etc. at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Coordinated with the other six language academies on joint events including the Olympic Games and the International Market and enforced the Language Pledge.
