Summary

Globalization is at the forefront of developing economies, in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. As our world becomes more connected through communication, trade and development it is key to have professionals that adhere to this growing international market.

With a background in Communications I was able to explore the many facets of media, marketing and public relations. In 2011, I worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and provided high-level support to the communications, outreach and advocacy team at the International Policy Center for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG) in Brazil.

Upon returning to the U.S. I enrolled in a joint initiative spearheaded by the World Food Program (WFP) and the ONE Campaign to serve as a spokesperson for hunger eradication and agricultural development (Griot program). My work with ONE and WFP propelled me to pursue a position with the Global Agricultural Development Initiative (GADI) at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, all the while completing my Masters degree in International Development.

Upon obtaining my Masters, I began working as a Program Development Coordinator at Lions Clubs International (LCI) headquarters. I provided high-level support to Lions’ global programs and campaigns including: Disaster Preparedness and Relief, Environmental Sustainability, and International Relations.

After two years, I relocated to Washington, D.C. and accepted a position as the Associate Program Manager at TechnoServe. At TNS my role was to provide programmatic and operational support to agricultural and entrepreneurial projects in 10 countries throughout the region (Brazil, Colombia, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru).
