Objective

My main aim is to use my ardent interest in media affairs, technology and politics within journalism. I strive to be at the forefront of all new technology that may aid my reporting.I took over editorship of Blog Preston, the hyperlocal news site for Preston, Lancashire in May 2010.Alongside being a blogger at Frontline Club Charitable Trust, Comment Editor at Pluto Student Newspaper and moderating at Journalism.co.uk, I am currently studying an NCTJ-accredited degree in Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. During these three years I have pursued as much industry-related experience as possible. I also keep a blog at JosephStashko.com, focusing on journalism education, the development of journalism and my own thoughts on what it's like to be a student journalist.I understand that today's journalists must be proficient and multi-skilled. My enthusiasm along with an ongoing dedication to learn means I am best-placed to achieve this for my employer.
