Senior Contests Chair and Vice President
Fresno State FFA Field Day Committee
- Assume a two-year commitment in which I was a member of the committee on the Fresno State campus in charge of planning and organizing three FFA Field Days a year, including the largest FFA Field Day in the state of California: the Fresno State FFA Field Day and State Finals Contest held in April.
- An FFA Field Day is and event in which high school students, involved in the Agricultural programs at their school, come together to compete in various Agriculturally related contest. These contests help them develop skills that can be used in their future college and professional careers.
-Senior Contests Chair: Involved registering and filing paperwork/payments for over 300 schools, and 2,000 students throughout the state of California for the Fresno State FFA Field Day; contacting various teachers and contest advisers to resolve any issues that might arise; using a internet-based registration program to receive contest registration information from schools.
-Vice-President: Elected as Vice President of the 20 member FFA Field Day Committee to assist the president in maintaining order at meetings, and running them in her absence; making decisions and leading committee members during our various events throughout the year; maintaining a Master Binder with all committee members information for reference.
