Adapted a paper and pencil exam service model to computer based testing methods through streamlining manually driven processes and using new technologies; led the change in strategic planning, IT, project management, QA, and budgeting systems to steer business development and effectively grow the company

  • Installed a cutting edge database program named “IBEP 2.0” to enable the company to do more item bank development and exam production with less time and smaller staff through the 2008-2009 economic downturn

  • Redesigned and executed a new disaster recovery plan that mitigated the risk of business disruption and reduced cost of managed data backup service by $100,000 a year

  • Significantly reduced costs of $500,000 in equipment, space and energy by replacing 26 obsolete physical servers with 2 virtual servers and therefore morphing an inefficient server room into a green data center

  • Ensured revenue objectives by closely monitoring sales; triggered corrective action plans to close the gap between budgets and results, resulting in the following multi-year, double-digit revenue growth:
    • Year: growth = 2003: 14%; 2004: 33%; 2005: 10%; 2006: 4%
  • Turned around a China-based factory by leading systems reengineering, in particular in HR, QA, production planning and supply chain, from 2005 through 2007; the factory obtained ISO 9001 certification and sustained the quality performance.
