Educational Highlights

  • Created University of Kansas Life Style Magazine, called “The Hill.” As the Editor-in-Chief, I supervised the creative direction of the page layout, the writing direction of the articles, and the Advertising Sales department. In all, $18,000 worth of advertisements ended up being sold and 12,000 copies of the first edition of The Hill were printed. After seeing the wild success of this magazine, KU’s School of Journalism, School of Arts and Business Schools are investigating the feasibility of creating co-curricular classes focused on further developing this magazine.
  • One of 100 students nominated to The University of Kansas College Assembly and Academic Council, and was one of just three students elected to this assembly, where I presided as one of ten voting members tasked with representing the Student Body, The Faculty, The Administration and The University Support Staff.
