Kyle Goodwin, a San Antonio, Texas resident, has lived and worked in the area his entire adult life. He began his career with the sales team of the Gary Pools company, during which time he also took classes at San Antonio College. His duties for Gary Pools included coordinating the company’s appearances at home and garden shows, and installing filters, pumps, and Loop-Lock pool covers. Kyle Goodwin became conversant with various automatic cleaner lines, and mediated product complaints between manufacturers and consumers. As a salesperson, he also focused on selling Vita Spa hot tubs and other products. From January 1998 to September 2001, Kyle Goodwin filled the duties of Warehouse Manager at M&G Marketing Inc. The business supplied nine Hallmark Stores in the region, and Mr. Goodwin kept daily reports for each store, as well as reviewing product restocking orders to correct any potential errors and taking annual inventories. As he had done at Gary Pools, Mr. Goodwin took great care in settling customer concerns. While working as in this position, he continued to further his studies through courses from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Kyle Goodwin went on to spend the next nine years serving as an officer with the San Antonio Police Department. His training included defensive tactics, skilled driving, and handling firearms. His work assignments focused on the inner city area of San Antonio’s East Side, home to violent neighborhoods with considerable traffic in illegal drugs. Gang members and sex industry professionals constituted a significant portion of the criminal population in this area. He learned to estimate property losses in cases of theft and vehicle accidents, write incident reports, and testify in court as a professional law enforcement witness. Since leaving the force, Kyle Goodwin has written for Chicano Channel Magazine and opened the private firm KGB Investigations.
