About Me

Utah resident Kyle Foote has spent the majority of his life in the Beehive State. Although he has lived in Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Brazil, and Germany, Foote was born and raised in the northern Salt Lake City town of Syracuse. Throughout his life, he has upheld a commitment to participating in various activities aimed at enhancing the lives of individuals across the state of Utah.Spending six years in the Air Force Reserves, Kyle Foote worked as an enlisted structural maintenance technician. During his time with the Reserves, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Recently, Kyle Foote returned to Salt Lake Community College to finish his Associate of Arts in International Studies. As a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) activist in Utah, Kyle Foote volunteers his time for several causes. He hosts a weekly support group with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). He also writes a column for QSaltLake, a gay and lesbian news and entertainment magazine in Salt Lake City, in which he addresses numerous topics involving mental health. Kyle Foote also contributes financially to a variety of Utah charities, among them the Utah Pride Center, Salt Lake Acting Company, Utah AIDS Foundation, and the Stonewall Democrats of Utah GLBT Caucus. A passionate food and wine lover, Foote helps support local farmers and food growers in Salt Lake City by volunteering for Utah Farmers Market Association and the Sugar House Farmers Market. To take full advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings Utah has to offer, Kyle Foote enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, jogging, and skiing.
