I have worked for the past 10 years in the nonprofit and government sectors, focusing primarily on financial, budgeting, and performance analysis. I currently serve as a budget manager for Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a community of approximatley 60,000 located 50 minutes east of Raleigh. My professional interests include researching trends and important issues in government finance and budgeting, developing systems-based solutions for improving decision making through information management, and expanding knowledge on political philosophy and its application to public administration. Eventually, I intend to pursue and earn a PhD in political science or public administration.
