My experience in engineering, project management and process improvement has taught me the importance of having a focus with no creep no matter what you do. With a clear goal and the right attitude I believe success is predictable.

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Madras, Chennai, India and a Masters Degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA.  I am a Certified Quality Engineer [ASQ CQE] and a trained auditor for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485/21 CFR 820.

In my first full-time position as a process improvement engineer with HNI Corporation, I have worked on processes, ergonomics, flow improvement projects and quality standards. That facility won the Shingo Prize for manufacturing excellence in the year 2007. I have personally monitored and sustained our member-driven process improvement program which resulted in the implementation of over 4000 improvement ideas over the past year. From consumer goods I moved to life sciences as i was impressed by the cutting edge inventions happening there and i grabbed the first opportunity that came my way. I also wanted to move east to stay with my then girlfriend, now spouse Ms. Monica.

I joined Labsphere Inc [based in the beautiful Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire] , a premier supplier of precision standard and custom radiometric and photometric products addressing the specific needs of the avionics, medical imaging and optics industries, as Quality Assurance Manager, and was with them for over 4 years. I successfully incorporated in-house test procedures for purchased products and check points to channel product development from concept to prototype to final product. I also initiated and sustained the kaizen program through incentives. More than 1500 kaizens have been implemented under my supervision.

I then decided to move closer to home in summer of 2010. This was for personal and family related reasons which i am happy i timed it well.

My first job in India was in my home town of Chennai, as a Consultant with Perfint Healthcare, a start-up venture, I have successfully coordinated efforts to meet regulatory requirements for CE marking and to place out products in foreign markets. Besides closing audit gaps I have also scaled and streamlined product development with phased activities and milestones. I also handled a ISO 13485 re-certification audit with Perfint's notified body UL as a Management representative for Perfint. I ended up moving to UL and relocating to Bangalore shortly there after.

My stint with Underwriters Laboratories LLC, as a project engineer furthers my belief in a dedicated preparation before commencing an activity and in keeping the stakeholders updated about the progress made and the road blocks ahead and so that even hindrances could be converted to success in a predictable manner. Having been involved with product safety testing for over a year with UL, I moved on to lead the new commercial initiative of key accounts management [KAM] with the same organization by Fall 2012. I believe with my technical background I can play a vital role in establishing and sustaining productive relationships for clients of UL.
