Undergraduate Bioengineering Researcher

Grundfest Research Group

Worked on the Ultrasound-stimulated vibe acoustography project. Assisted in performing wet-lab research trials, analyzing and transforming data, and developing new parameters to improve experimental parameters.

  • Gained wet lab experience in the use and handling of biohazards materials such as cancerous tissues.
  • Assisted the graduate student in charge of the project perform the research trials. Learned to conduct trials individually without supervision.
  • Performed and devised an algorithm for Phase Unwrapping to make data recorded from the experiment useful.
  • Performed and devised additional research to improve the imaging quality of the experimental apparatus by measuring the visco-elastic properties of other well-known substances to create a Layman's reference comparison chart to the visco-elastic properties recorded during the trials.
  • Assisted supervising graduate student by editing this project's research papers for clarity and grammar.
