To obtain an entry-level television writer position to learn to write comedy for television or sketch comedy series. Comedy writing is something that is earned, and my goal in life is to earn the laugh of the audience. My childhood consisted of laughter and dress-up. My parents encouraged creativity and a need for life to be observed in a humorous light. My father often would put tapes of Eddie Murphy on Saturday Night Live. My mother would quote Weekend Update's: "Jane you ignorant slut!" Or the Church Lady's: "Well isn't that special!" A French phrase of: "Ferme la bousche" might also slip in, if my sister and I were laughing too loud at night. The point still remains comedy and entertaining people has always been a riotous act and I want nothing more than to write and have someone use it to make people laugh. I have included, on my Visual CV, examples of my writings. I have heard that a true comedy writer always has a script in hand working at it to get just one extra laugh. So, take heed that all of my writings will be a work in progress, to make sure I squeeze every last drop of laughter out of it I can.
