Clinical Nutrition 

• Completed over 600 hours of inpatient nutrition counseling and individualized care utilizing the nutrition care process and consisting of two week rotations in general medicine, cardiology, gastrointestinal, neurology, renal, oncology, pediatrics, and the ICUs. 
• Managed a diet technician, attended multi-disciplinary rounds, and cared for 12-18 patients per day during a 4 week rotation acting as the primary dietitian on a pediatric and general medicine floor. 
• Completed over 200 hours in outpatient counseling with Pediatric, NICU follow-up, and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. 

Community Nutrition

• Organized and completed a variety of community nutrition experiences including cooking demonstrations, educating toddlers, seniors, and low-income women on a variety of nutrition topics, and volunteering at overnight diabetes camp and health fairs. 

Food Service Management

• Completed a 10 week experience in patient meal service and retail food service management locations. 

• Communicated with patients assuring individuals received what they desired for meals within their dietary restrictions. 
• Developed proficient skills with CBOARD software with menu entry, patient preferences, allergies, etc. 

• Worked in a variety of food preparation, food storage and retail settings.
• Prepared fresh fruits and vegetables and salad recipes.
• Packaged hot meals for meals on wheels.
• Unloaded, dated and organized food items delivered according to FIFO.
• Served customers working as a cashier, stocking shelves, and answering questions.  

• Taught nutrition lessons to campers several times per week on a variety of nutrition topics including the exchange system, making healthy decisions when eating out, reading food labels, etc. 
• Taught cooking lessons several times per week demonstrating how to prepare healthy meals and snacks campers can make when they return home from camp. 
• Aided in serving meals to campers helping them determine appropriate portion sizes and find meal substitutes.
