  • Technical Leadership. Lead remote and onsite engineering teams. Developed R&D specifications, custom software applications and websites, provided technology solutions to business problems and maintained deliverables over time.
  • Product Management. Produced all aspects of product launch for JitterGram social mobile marketing software including branding and messaging, trade marketing materials, and online community development.

Led R&D and Sustaining development for mission critical Archiving and eDiscovery product suite for Fortune 100 customers. Directed distributed development organization with teams in three countries: India; China; California, Maryland, and New Hampshire, USA. 

  • Organizational Leadership. Refined costs to align with product revenues reducing overhead by 15% within the first 90 days.  Established supporting relationships across the global Support, Sales, and Professional Services organizations.  Integrated QA and Development personnel into holistic Agile Engineering team practicing Rapid Application Development at Enterprise Standards.
  • Technical Leadership. Delivered goal-breaking releases with customer facing feature deliverables at more than 250% over previous two releases.  Delivered on time, achieving the highest quality metrics recorded in product lifetime at 79% reduction in cost of production (LOC from $12.24 to $1.66).  Maintained legacy products in parallel with Next Generation release streams. 
  • Product Management. Engaged with Support, Sales and Services organizations to gather requirements for feature gaps that were prohibiting legacy customers from upgrading to Next Generation product suite.  Tailored a release plan to address those gaps enabling Sales and Services to sell into the legacy customer base.  Delivered migration tools and migration strategy for moving Fortune 100 Customer base from legacy products to the Next Generation product.
  • Crisis Management. Interacted directly with customers’ IT and business executives during crisis management representing Product Engineering at the Executive level across EMC and customer engagements.  Established new roles and responsibilities for managing customers in escalated environments for extended durations that led to “health plans” and reduction of “crisis” accounts.
  • Quality Assurance. Established consistent, achievable, maintenance release program for product lines. Delivered Service Packs to each of the previous three generally available versions of each product. Enabled quality improvements, defect resolution, and usability enhancements reached customer base as soon as possible. Reduced number of support calls and reduced escalations into engineering. 
  • Team Leadership. Eased tensions between on-shore and off-shore teams, engaged individuals in a politically paralyzed environment, reintroducing trust and establishing new rules of work ethic and professionalism, and arresting attrition.
  • Process Improvement. Introduced and transitioned to Agile development and Test Driven Design methodologies, replacing Waterfall SDLC while maintaining a Six Sigma Program Management paradigm.  
  • Transparency & Visibility. Implemented Agile tools providing transparency for all phases of the development lifecycle from Requirements Gathering through Development and Test resulting in more accurate Roadmaps and Release Planning.
