Meaning I have insights on how our systems work in the backend and how it reflects the front end. Due to my technical experience in the field I have a lot of opinions on where we should go moving forward. In the summer of 2011 I was promoted Product Manager of Just-Eat.dk ApS. At that time the company was moving away from being a entrepeneurship in to corporate organisation. Meaning all departments needed to become more proffessional in their way of working. That meant more focus on the KPI's and budgets. The transission tought me a great deal of things in order to continue the company growing as it has been doing since its beginning.

I have been working with:

  1. Develping new features such as our mobile apps, offer platform and ePOS.
  2. JIRA - create, QA, implementation of releases into the DK business, overviw on all trouble making issues and UAT
  3. Analysis and insights - especially the MOSAIC analysis with the DK marketing manager Mads Neble was a very important step for us to make in order to understand our consumersbetter
  4. Trade Marketing - controlling the product portfolio to the restaurants and brand material

My main focus is to optimise the DK business with our existing product, provide the product team/Tech with ideas/input for news features needed in the most mature Just-Eat market in order to keep the company growing and support the Tech and Product team in UK with my knowledge/experience on how our system works.

  4. Card Acquier contract which lowered the costs by over 20% in 2013 and resolved a potential loss of 1.5 million DKK in 2012. 
  5. Increase of average order value of min. 5% year on year.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

After a great internship in the DK marketing department as part of my education I was hired as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator a few months after completed my education as a Market Economist.

As a Sales and Marketing Coordinator I started learning about what online marketing is. How an e-commerce company operates offline and how these two could be combined and in the end, optimised. My daily work was about:

Support the DK sales team with sales material and statistics on their performance

  1. ecrm
  2. SEO or SEM
  3. PPC (Google Adwords)
  4. Affiliate Marketing
  5. Social media (I started the Just-Eat.dk fan page on Facebook)
  6. Supported the DK organisation with tech problems (reported to the Tech team in JIRA)
  7. Analysis and insights on the DK consumer and restaurant market
  8. Run national and local campaigns
  9. Direct Marketing
  10. Learned HTML on a basic level

I am proud of the results aÍ showed there:

  1. 20% growth in orders each year
  2. Increase of brandawareness from 65% to 73% (aided)
  3. Getting our consumers to use our fan page on Facebook as a channel for; customer service, competitions and getting inspiration for a takeaway. I left the area with 20.000 fans before we figured out that we needed to hire a dedicated employee to care care of all our social media channels.
  4. Helped the sales team getting restaurants signed and meet their goals on #signings

Marketing Manager

In the beginning of 2011 I was in charge of the DK marketing department. The team included a part time marketing assistant and a graphic designer. As a team we succeded and met all KPI's set by the management. I am especially proud of:

  • #orders (over budget) kept a steady growth trend of 20 % as the business is known for since its beginning
  • Brand awareness - moved it from 73% to 83% (aided)
  • New TV approach (continuesly on TV with fewer TRP's, national discount campaign for the first time)
  • Generated over 20.000 fans for our Facebook page
  • New ecrm approach/design; welcome, normal newsletters strutured
  • Google Adwords performance (lowered CPC and increased CR)
  • Kept our core product up to speed with our Tech department (JIRA system)

Marketing Intern

As part of my education as a Market Economist the last six months should be spent as a intern in a company. At htat time I lived the Head of Customer Care at Just-Eat.dk ApS. He remommended me to the DK marketing team and a couple of weeks after I started,

The first thing I realised once I began at Just-Eat was the lack of online marketing skills at the school. So I was a rookie in its sense that I needed to learn from scratch how online marketing works.  As all internships it can be difficult to find you rplace in the department, but I am a quick learner and ancious of getting hands on things, so they began to give me more and more rsponsibility.

As part of the internship I did a project on how the Partner Center should work. The Partner Center is a Intranet for all restaurants where they can go online and check their orders, invoice, close the business for today etc. I handed the report in to Rune Risom who took the work forward and got it developed. In 2012 we have now 1.500 restaurants online on the Partner Center out of 1.700.

During the internship I learned about:

  • Affiliate marketing (Tradedoubler network)
  • Social Media (started the Just-Eat.dk fanpage on Facebook and Twitter)

After a great internship I finished my education in June 2009 but kept working for Just-Eat for free until September 2009 when I was hired fulltime as a Marketing and Sales Coordinator.
