Summary

My name is Kristyna Polakova, I am 24 years old and I have completed my degree in the programme of Social Work and Humanitarian Assistance in the Czech Republic.

Currently I am working as a teacher's assistant at Montessori based alternative school in San Sebastian Rio Hondo, Oaxaca, Mexico.

I have been working in various NGOs since 2014, and apart from having the experience working with vulnerable groups in the field of social work as well as community development, I can honestly say that it has given me the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of global issues such as vicious circle of poverty or social injustice, and it helped me to learn a great amount about understanding, fellowship and respect for humanity in our globalised world.
