About Kristofer Swanson

An independent forensic accounting and damages expert, Kristofer Swanson is a partner and Midwest leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers' Forensic Services team. In this position, he leads forensic teams that investigate a broad range of misconduct allegations, such as embezzlement, health care overbilling, and data breaches.

He has provided forensic accounting assistance to court-appointed receivers, and served as an Independent Review Organization (IRO) for healthcare providers under the terms of Corporate Integrity Agreements.

He also has assisted in resolving commercial and intellectual property disputes by conducting damage analyses and providing expert witness testimony.

Kris belongs to professional organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has earned various certifications, such as the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist credential. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives' Club of Chicago, and the Union League Club of Chicago.

He serves as a member of the board of the Better Government Association and the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services.

He holds his master of science in accounting from DePaul University and a master of business administration in international business and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
