Human Resources Assistant Recruiter

My experience in HR began in April 2013 when I was offered an internship at Contract Services Group, a tier one supplier for the automotive industry. After 11 months, I was offered the position of Human Resources Assistant Recruiter for their sister company, Staff Source, a recruiting agency. Both positions have given me a solid foundation but I'm ready to embark on a career.

-Complete the full recruitment process such as: reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling, conducting interviews, and hiring for specific job openings.

-Attend various job fairs and recruit new employees.

-Complete new hire paperwork.

-Verify employment eligibility using E-Verify.

-Advise, counsel, and assist management regarding job descriptions, planning, and decision making.

-Handle day-to-day administrative duties associated with being a team member of a professional staff.

-Ensure federal and state compliance of FMLA, ADA, and EEO are followed.

Apr 2013 - Feb 2014

Human Resources Intern

Contract Services Group

-Conducted all aspects of payroll such as: job orders, vacations, holidays, bonuses, union dues, and discrepancies.

-Administered disciplinary warnings that related to the business objective and collective bargaining unit.

-Conducted new employee orientation on a weekly basis.

-Completed new hire paperwork and other aspects of the full cycle recruitment process.

-Tracked and maintained employees attendance records for 4 different locations.

-Hired and communicated job duties to perspective employees.

-Reviewed resumes, completed phone screens, drug tested, and verified eligibility using E-Verify.

-Assisted with job fairs and recruiting; conducted interviews.

-Terminated and communicated reasons for termination to employees, upper management, and union.

-Counseled new and existing employees and ensured solutions align with overall business objectives.
