Possessing dual board certification and more than 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kristine Hembre has been treating patients at Pikes Peak Allergy & Asthma LLC in Colorado Springs since 2000. Dr. Hembre performs qualified diagnostic testing to determine each patient’s reaction to drugs and allergens, as well as overall lung function. Utilizing this information, she tailors individualized treatment plans to the specific needs of each patient. To stay informed of the latest medical developments, Dr. Kristine Hembre belongs to several national and regional medical groups, including the Clinical Immunology Society, the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Food Allergy Network. Originally from Colorado, Dr. Kristine Hembre completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University before relocating to Kansas City, Missouri, and matriculating at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following graduation with her D.O., she returned to Colorado and initiated her postdoctoral training at Doctors Hospital. From 1989 to 1992, Dr. Hembre completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. A standout in the program, she garnered the American College of Physicians Associates’ Award for Clinical Research and the Presbyterian-St. Luke's Resident Research Grant. Before embarking on her professional career, Dr. Kristine Hembre also completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where she subsequently served as an Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Kristine Hembre spent the first five years of her career with a variety of clinics throughout Colorado Springs. During that time, she was part of the team at Colorado Allergy and Asthma Centers, PC, that earned distinction as Most Innovative in Asthma Patient Care in the United States from the Allergy and Asthma Network/Mothers of Asthmatics, Inc.
