Summary

Kristi cares deeply about substance abuse disorders and how to effectively treat them. During her undergraduate career at Hunter College, she focused her Psychology studies within the behavioral neuroscience division as to further her knowledge of addiction. After Hunter College (2012), she attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice for graduate work focusing on clinical forensic psychology, as she was passionate about addiction treatment protocols. After graduating from John Jay College (2016), Kristi became a part of St. John's University to pursue Pharmaceutical Science with a concentration in Pharmacology. Her academic and career aspirations are to carry on to a Ph.D. program where she plans to study pharmacology, further specializing in clinical research and clinical trials. As her end-goal is to become a Clinical Pharmacologist: to design pharmaceuticals to treat addiction, she also hopes to implement that research into human clinical trials and welcomes any experience that may be in alignment with her passions, motivations, and goals.

Objective

Objective is in alignment with ushering forward research to better understand the neural mechanisms of addiction. My desire is to bridge the gap between bench to practice and ultimately work with clinical trials.
