Standardized the inventory and ordering process, removing more than $20,000 in unnecessary medications and doses from the shelves.

Redesigned ward stock medications, creating a "fast mover" section to separate Look Alike - Sound Alike drugs and streamlining the refill process.

Updated the cart-fill process to increase pharmacy staff job satisfaction, efficiency and productions levels.

Initiated a clinical pharmacy program resulting in therapeutic choices that are more appropriate for the geriatric population.

Although this start-up hospital was not successful, I gained tremendous knowledge about hospital pharmacy, as well as the experience of starting and maintaining pharmacy inventory, implementing new computer programs and imaging, and process development.

Input, verification,dispensing and compounding of prescription, non-prescription and intravenous medications for a large long-term care pharmacy that averaged 3500 prescription daily.

Received additional training as a consultant pharmacist and served as a liaison between pharmacists in the field and the central facility.

Developed a Risk vs Benefit statement using State and Federal regulations and SOAP note formating to increase participation of nursing and medical staff in the clinical pharmacy process.

Participated in monthly Quality Assurance meetings and Psychoactive Drug Reviews for a number of skilled nursing facilities; recommended interventions and medication changes based on treatment progress and intended health outcomes.
