As a Girls Connection mentor, my role is to plan and prepare discussions and activities for each meeting.These meetings are once a week, for two hours.The activities and discussions I schedule are made according to the monthly national awareness holidays and are age appropriate for the girls involved.

By listening to the concerns of residents, I have been able to develop my active listening skills and serve as a supporter and advocate for these residents.The workshops that have been developed based on the identified needs of residents, including: career skills building, health and nutrition, arts and entertainment, tutoring, and computer laboratory assistance.
