Fitness Instructor

Pop Physique

As a Fitness Instructor at Pop Physique I worked 10-14 hours in a studio teaching the Pop Physique barre fitness class. After months of training to master the shape of the class and the specific set ups and clarifications for each exercise it was my job to take what I learned and build my own slightly unique classes. Activities Volunteer

Ronald McDonald House

I have been a dedicated volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House on a weekly basis for eleven years. Over the course of these years I have been doing many jobs. While volunteering at the house each week, I take on tasks like cleaning, cooking, answering guest's questions, and answering phones. A main focus of a volunteer on their weekly shift is keeping the house clean for the guests. Volunteers change garbages, clean bathrooms, wash dishes, clean the kitchen, sort recycling, make beds, vacuum rooms, organize toys and donations and tidy the common rooms. I have very good communication skills because of experience talking with guests and families.  In addition to weekly shifts I have also spent weekends at the House keeping things clean and organized and helping guests with anything they need. I learned how to be energetic and kind, and keep even the siblings of sick kids happy and active. These families go through so much and it is important to keep them looking forward to new things like a craft that the volunteers organize, or a movie the volunteers arranged.
